Never blank on a name again.
FaceFlash turns your own contacts into flashcards. Practice the faces that matter, in the minutes you already have.
Five screens. One outcome: you remember people.
Every face you practice is someone you actually need to know — not a stranger from a generic memory deck.
Remember every name
See a face, recall the name, check yourself in seconds.
Short quizzes fit in a waiting room or the walk to a meeting. Multiple choice reads a name and asks you to pick the right face from four.
Turn contacts into flashcards
Your address book is the deck. No manual data entry.
Import the contacts that have photos and start practising in under a minute. No typing, no building cards by hand — and a note pops out on the back of the card.
Master every circle
Target the room before you walk in.
Sort people into circles — Work Colleagues, Extended Family, Book Club, Conference — and quiz one circle before you walk into that room.
Spot who you're forgetting
Per-person accuracy, automated drilling.
A scorecard tracks accuracy per person. Names you keep missing are flagged as weak spots, and Weak Spots builds a focused quiz from the cards below 40%.
Recall how you met
Remember the person, not just the name.
Add a note: where you met, what you talked about, who introduced you. It appears on the back of the card when it flips, so context sticks with the face.
Enhanced with Apple Intelligence
On supported devices, FaceFlash uses Apple Intelligence on-device models to enhance quizzes while protecting your private information.
Built for the weeks when everyone is new
Professionals
Starting a new job or working a conference — walk into the room already knowing who's who.
Teachers & lecturers
Learn a new roster before the first week is over, one short quiz at a time.
Community organizers
Church, club and volunteer groups — greet every member and newcomer by name.
New in-laws
Marrying into a large family? Master the extended family before the next reunion.
And everyone who has ever said "I'm terrible with names."
Your contacts stay on your phone.
FaceFlash runs with no accounts and no ads, and we operate no server of our own that holds your data. Contact photos, notes and progress remain strictly on-device — or encrypted in your private iCloud if you turn on sync. Nothing leaves your device except to that private iCloud, and to a group file if you choose to share one.
FaceFlash asks for read access to Contacts once — that's how your deck gets built. Your contacts never leave your device. FaceFlash does send anonymous usage counts to our analytics provider, which you can switch off during setup or in Settings — the privacy policy explains exactly what they contain.
Feature board
Vote on what FaceFlash should learn next, or suggest your own idea. Suggestions are reviewed before they appear.
This is the same board as the site-wide one — your vote counts once either way. See vulander.net feature request board →
