Put a face to every name.
AddFace2Contact fills in the contact photos your address book is missing. One tap searches the web or generates a head shot on device, and writes it straight to the card.
Not on the App Store yet. Use the contact form to ask for an early build, or vote on the board below.
Three taps, then it is off your to-do list.
It is a utility, not a destination. The measure of success is how quickly you get the count of photo-less contacts to zero and stop opening the app.
See the gaps
The home screen is your address book, with every card that has no picture marked. A strip at the top counts how far you have left to go.
Search or generate
One tap runs a web image search on the name — edit it first if you like. Or hand a photo to Image Playground and get a head shot made on device.
Saved to Contacts
Your pick is written straight to the card in Apple Contacts, so it shows up everywhere. Every change is logged locally, so you can undo it.
One field, done properly.
AddFace2Contact edits exactly one thing: the photo. It is not a contacts manager, it does not dedupe, and it does not enrich anything behind your back.
Put faces to names
The photo lands on the real contact card.
Pick a result and it is written to Apple's Contacts database — the same card Messages, Mail and your car's display already read. Nothing to export, nothing to sync.
Search the web for any face
Pre-filled with the name. Yours to edit.
The search box starts with the contact's name, and you can refine it with a company or a city before running it. Six results come back in a grid; one tap picks the one that is actually them.
Generate AI head shots on device
For the people the web has never heard of.
Hand any photo from your library to Apple's Image Playground and get a clean head shot in a style you choose — photorealistic, illustration, animation or sketch. It runs on your iPhone, with no network call to us at all.
Fill every blank
A number that only goes one way.
The coverage strip shows what share of your address book has a photo, and a filter hides everyone who is already done. Work the list down until there is nothing left to fix.
Your contacts stay on your phone.
Your address book is read from, and written to, Apple's Contacts database on your device. It is never uploaded. There is no account, no sign-in and no profile, so we cannot identify you — and there is no advertising or attribution software in the app.
The only things that leave your device are the search term — the text in the search box, which you can edit — and anonymous usage events that carry no contact data and no free text. AI head shots are generated by Apple's Image Playground on your iPhone, with no network call to us at all.
Feature suggestion board
Vote on what AddFace2Contact should do next, or suggest your own idea. Suggestions are reviewed before they appear on the public board.
This is the same board as the site-wide one — your vote counts once either way. See vulander.net feature request board →
